Mr. Burns won a basketball team in a poker game. He thought he could get more bums in seats if he built a new stadium. Sadly, the new stadium destroyed the habitat of the town's bees (which had previously resided on Lisa's face). Moe suggested that Homer cross breed the bees with killer bees from Africa. The killer bees then headed for Mr. Burns' new stadium (which looked like a beehive). Mr. Burns was forced to convert it to a bee sanctuary and take an $800 million writeoff.

Actually, the episode was pretty good. This season has been not bad so far.

One of the disadvantages that the Simpsons have relative to other shows (like Family Guy) is that episodes are produced months in advance of the air date, which makes it impossible to riff on current events. (Although Bart's chalkboard gag has at times been tweaked a bit to reflect what's happening outside of Springfield.)
